Nissens Cooling Solutions started as a pioneer in the wind turbine industry and several industrial segments and has become a leading supplier of customized cooling solutions for challenging applications worldwide. Established in 1921, the company is a full-line supplier, supporting customers from design development, creating prototypes, preparing the initial sample and O-series, and the manufacturing and supply of the final product.

Sustainability is part of the future agenda

We asked Anders Allesoe, CTO, what he thought about the Momentum Network:

“We joined the Momentum Network in 2020 and saw the opportunity to join forces with colleagues from the wind industry. They were also facing the green sustainability agenda and the new requirements coming from the OEM’s within the industry. This created a great possibility to stand stronger and strengthen our footprint within sustainability.

Thus far, the Momentum Network has been an interesting and enlightening journey for us. Starting by learning and understanding the different terms and requirements, but also helping and supporting each other in acquiring much knowledge on sustainability. Specifically, Momentum helped Nissens Cooling Solutions get started on reporting on our CO2 baseline. The baseline has helped us set very clear carbon neutrality targets in 2025 for scope 1 and 2.

Sustainability will be a part of the future agenda – also reporting-wise. Therefore I see a huge advantage in the Momentum Network, where we as suppliers to the wind industry try to interpret and share knowledge to come to an aligned and fact-based understanding of the future sustainability agenda.”
